ABOUT PARKSIDE JHS BANDS
The Parkside Bands have established a strong tradition of achievement and excellence. Parkside Junior High School offers 5 Concert Bands, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and various seasonal small ensembles. The Bands' performance resumes include performances at prestigious events and venues throughout the US.
Bands at Parkside JHS
5th Grade Band
Students in the 5th grade are members of the Fifth Grade Band. All events on the calendar will be listed as 5GB for this group.
Cadet Band
Students in the 6th grade are members of the Cadet Band. All events on the calendar will be listed as CAB for this group.
Concert Band
Students in the 7th grade are members of the Concert Band. All events on the calendar will be listed as CB for this group.
Symphonic Band
Students in the 8th grade are members of the Symphonic Band. All events on the calendar will be listed as SB for this group.
Jazz Band
This group is open to all students in grades 6 - 8. All events on the calendar will be listed as JB for this group.
Unit 5 Middle School Honor Band
This group is a select group of students from all 4 junior high schools in grades 6 - 8. All events on the calendar will be listed as HB for this group.
