JENNIFER BOLTON, DIRECTOR OF BANDS
Mrs. Bolton is a graduate of both Western Illinois University and Illinois State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, concentration in Music Education from Western Illinois University where she studied under Dr. Jon Dugle. and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Illinois State University where she studied under Stephen K. Steele. She has been employed by the Unit 5 Schools since 1992. She is currently the conductor of the Parkside Junior High School Honor Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Cadet Band, and the director for the Jazz Band. She is also the director of the Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, the Percussion Ensembles and she teaches 5th Grade Band from the feeder schools at PJHS. Mrs. Bolton served as Music Department Building Chairperson for Parkside Junior High School 2007 - 2013. Prior to her appointment at Parkside Junior High School, Mrs. Bolton taught at Chiddix Junior High School, Normal West High School and Normal Community High School. She is a member of National Association for Music Education, formerly known as, Music Educators National Conference, Mu Phi Epsilon, and the National Band Association
